PILFER ACADEMY: Lauren Magaziner
PILFER ACADEMY: By Lauren Magaziner starts off with a nosy kid named George Beckett, George is known as the thief in the family, no one really thought he would become a true thief. That all changes when George is kidnapped in an ice cream truck, and that's where his journey begins. The school was not what George thought it was at all, in fact it was the complete opposite. He had to be dreaming, no this was no dream it was a nightmare! Everything in the whole school was stolen, was this who George really was? A thief? The rest of his life? After a while George started to hate stealing, taking things away from people that love them so much. George had to do something, but what? He knew of the horrible consequences, he would have to do something or he would be stuck in his nightmare and will have to face the consequences. I really enjoyed this book, this was because it had some humor, but not too much, especially at the beginning. I just had to find out what was going to happen next, so I couldn't put the book down. I felt like there was always something going on and you never got bored. I would give this book 5/5 stars, just because I enjoyed every bit and it was really engaging too. If your some one that is a serious reader you don't even want to touch this book. If your more into a little humor here or there, I would definitely recommend this book for you, you won't be able to put it down.

DELIRIUM : Lauren Oliver
DELIRIUM: By Lauren Oliver, takes place in the United States where love is seen as a horrible disease. At the age of eighteen you have a procedure called "the cure". Living in Portland, Maine, 17 year old Lena Haloway has seen love destroy her mother and will not make the same mistake. With only ninety five days until her procedure Lena can not wait, but her evaluation is interrupted by an exotic turn of events. Through all of this craziness Lena spots a boy named Alex, they then rapidly become friends. Going behind her aunts back and hiding it from everyone, Lena does not tell anyone about Alex. Will this friendship last, or will it become something much, much more? I feel this is more of a romantic, mature read. At first it took a while to get into the good parts, but as soon as I started reading some of the good parts I could not put the book down. I would give this book 2/5 stars, this was not the right type of book for me, and it could have been more engaging.

NIGHTMARES! Jason Segel and Kirsten Miller
NIGHTMARES! By Jason Segel and Kirsten Miller, so it starts out with a thirteen year old boy named Charlie, and he has been convincing himself that his stepmother is a wicked witch. He tries to tell his friends, but they don't really believe him. He has been having the same nightmare ever since he moved into the purple mansion with his stepmother, and one night he got taken into his nightmare and through to the Netherworld. This is where all nightmares stay, in order to get rid of a nightmare you must face it. After a long journey of running and hiding, Charlie is told that his worst nightmare of all has been hunting him down, will Charlie make it out of the Netherworld or will he be demolished by his worst nightmare of all and have to suffer with the rest of his nightmares the rest of his life? This was a pretty interesting book, you never knew what was really going to happen next, and I really enjoyed the little scares I got once in a while. I would give this book 4/5 stars, it really pulled me in and I just wanted to keep reading. The made up creatures were described so well, it really painted a picture, if you like adventurous books, I recommend Nightmares, there is a lot of travel, but it gives you a little scare once in a while. If you are into non-fiction, I would not recommend this book, it is entirely make believe, though there are little twists throughout the whole story and it makes it really interesting. It's definitely something different to read from other books and it is totally unpredictable.

The Amazing Story Of Hatchet
Hatchet is a very interesting book about a thirteen year old boy named Brian Robeson, Brian is fairly short has brown hair and very little experience with the wilderness. Brian lives with his mother in Hampton New York, he is traveling in an airplane to see his father, this is because Brian's parents have been divorced, so Brian is in an airplane with only him and the pilot, all of the sudden the pilot is itching his shoulder like crazy and bashing him self against the back of his seat. In that moment Brian had no idea what just happened.
About three hours later the plane runs out of gas and Brian crash lands in lake. This lake is surrounded by trees for miles and miles, but now Brian has to some how get to the land and out of the plane, before he drowns. Brian is lucky and he just makes it out , this was only the second problem that Brian had encountered. There are many more along the way, such as meeting a bear, also meeting a porcupine. Brian soon realizes that the lake is the only source of water that he has, he also has a hatchet that his mom gave him. How much longer can this teenager survive by him self in the wilderness with only a hatchet, will he survive or will his life terribly end. You will have to find out for your self.
My rating for this book is four stars
I gave this book four stars because it told about all of the problems in the forest and as soon as Brian was finished with one problem he would move on to the next, and you didn't know what was coming at all. If you happen to like fantasy and romance THIS BOOK IS NOT FOR YOU. If you like the wilderness and exploring I think you will enjoy this book a lot.
